Além da Água Guadiana River, between Portugal & Spain.
A public art project by artist collective GRATIS (Federico Guzman, Victoria Gil, Kirby Gookin & Robin Kahn) designed to gather and exchange ideas and art made about the geo-political issues surrounding water rights. After organizing a series of workshops with local communities on either side of the Guadiana River, we attached their public messages onto a giant cork bulletin board and floated it down the river making intermittent stops on on both shores. A final exhibition at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo in Badajoz, Spain gathered together art projects by the local residents with music, art and writing provided by 300 international artists.
